On March 8th, 2016, the Work Meeting of the International Ecological Safety Collaboration Organization (IESCO) was held in Beijing, at which, the work completed in 2015 was summarized and upcoming in 2016 was planned and deployed. A number of officials and entrepreneurs attended the meeting including Dr Jiang Mingjun, Chairman of Ecological Civilization Committee of United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the Founding Chairman of IESCO, Mr An Xueli, Executive Director-General of IESCO and Mr Zhang Ming, Chairman of Beijing JianYi Group.

Dr Jiang Mingjun announced the Appointment Notification of the new leading body at the Meeting. Mr Zhang Ming was appointed the President of the International Ecological Safety Council and Director of the Economic Development Committee of IESCO, and will participated in the organizing and management of the International Ecological Safety Council, and preside over relevant works of the Economic Development Committee of IESCO.
Officials from different organizations such as Lu De, the Bureau Member of the Global Parties Climate and Ecological Alliance (GPCEA) and President of Economic Development Committee delivered speeches on IESCO’s development planning and working directions of the next decade. Mr Zhang Ming also gave a presentation on how to take part in the relevant affairs in future on behalf of IESCO.

Profile of the International Ecological Safety Collaboration Organization:
International Ecological Safety Collaboration Organization (IESCO ) was founded by the political parties, parliaments and government bodies of sovereign states with the participation and support of related UN agencies and in compliance with UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). In December 2010, IESCO was granted observer’s status at the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP). In July 2011, it was granted special consultative status at UN Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC), observer's status at the plenary meeting of UN-ECOSOC. In October, 2012, IESCO became an advisory institution of ICAPP and the Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean (COPPPAL).
